Welcome to the this exciting Anatomy & Physiology course that is the foundation to all biological science subjects, as well as a prerequisite course for the Bachelor of Science in Holistic Medicine - BSc (HM).
This is an exciting anatomy and physiology online course that contains many different modalities of learning. There are anatomy and physiology course exercises, as well as anatomy and physiology quizes after each course section as an important learning and revision tool. This anatomy and physiology online course is suited to all students of natural or alternative medicine and will provide a detailed grounding required to build upon.
As soon as you pay for your anatomy and physiology course you will receive a username, password and URL (website address) where you can log into your online anatomy and physiology course material.
Here the student is presented with accurate software derived from real human data, providing hundreds of highly detailed 3D anatomical structures. There are labeled anatomy in 3D with extensive anatomy text and links to many additional images and video clips. Built from real anatomy data each model has a choice of 3D views with interactive functions to fully rotate and add and remove anatomical structures from the models and to view and label any structure from bone to skin. Simple edit functions allow you to copy, paste or print any image or animation to use in your own educational presentations and handouts.
In addition to the interactive anatomy and physiology 3-D models, you can also compare labeled cross sections of the 3-D anatomy models to MRI in 3 planes and many layers. Other anatomy content includes high resolution dissection slides, annotated diagrams, and clinical slides and biomechanics animations.
Please click on the PDF logo on the left to see the first chapter of the Anatomay and Physiology Course - this will give you some idea of the quality of the materials we provide, even though it is only a small part of the complete course.
The different sections cover:
You are able to rotate these anatomical diagrams through 360 degrees to see them in three dimensions and export images, animations or text adding or removing layers to show structures from the skin all the way down to the bones. There are also MRI images of each anatomical section that enables you to see Magnetic Resonance Imaging ‘slices’ of different sections. There are even little videos that demonstrate movements of different muscles and joints.
When you click on the related anatomical structure it highlights in a green colour so that you can identify it. There are also exercises with questions on the anatomical structures studied in each section.
One of the major advantages is that you can access the material online 24/7 wherever you have internet access, or alternatively you can work offline as well.

* Practice Quiz: lots of questions in a quiz form to stimulate revision.
* Additional content with interesting research on the particular topic.
* PowerAnatomy – fully interactive 3-D representations of the anatomy of each part being studied.
* PowerPhys – animations of the physiology of different structures.
* Overview and Objectives of the Chapter studied
* Reviewing What You Know – containing ‘anatomy review and practice’; chapter quiz and flashcards (definitions of things learned).
* Anatomy Overview: Animated diagrams that are interactive and enable the student to move from a macro to a micro level.
* Concepts and Connections: Animated diagrams that allow the student to connect what they have learned.
* Further Explorations: allows the student to read articles written by other authors, glossary of terms used, web links to other interesting sites.
* Exam Review: enables the students to set up their own exams on the chapters studied.
There will be brief anatomy and physiology examinations after each chapter so that the student can work at their own pace, focusing on each section of the body while learning in-depth. All examinations for each section must be passed with a minimum grade of 60% before proceeding to the next chapter.
The cost of the anatomy and physiology course also covers the following materials:

1. A 1,056 page, full colour and excellently illustrated, hard-cover book entitled Anatomy and Physiology: From Science to Life by Jenkins, Kemnitz and Tortora
2. Full access to a powerful online system that makes learning far more interactive - there are hundreds of highly detailed 3D anatomical structures with many additional images and video clips. There are 3D views with interactive functions to fully rotate and add and remove anatomical structures from the models and to view and label any structure from bone to skin. Simple edit functions allow you to copy, paste or print any image or animation to use in your own educational presentations and handouts.
The anatomy and physiology interactive learning experience makes taking exams fun - 76% of students said that it made them better prepared for tests and a further 80% said that it improved their understanding of the material. This is far better than the traditional methods of reading Gray's Anatomy and rope learning the material!
The book also comes with a CD to help learn the powerful online system quickly.

Wow, this is a powerful course with excellent material to cover the A - Z of anatomy and physiolgy to a depth required by most students of complimentary and alternative medicine. I have taken a couple of other anatomy and phsysiolgy courses but this one comes out tops due to its interactive nature with interactive images, videos, 3-D anatomy images and a lot more.

This is one of the best distance-learning anatomy and physiology courses on the web. The course covers all aspects of anatomy and physiology of the whole body, and the interactive java and videos make the course really exciting and interesting. I loved learning through this course and it gave me a lot of confidence to continue with the rest of my courses now that I had a good basis to build on. I would recommend this course to any serious student of the biological sciences or natural medicine
