FAQs

Universal_microscope.jpgQ1). What is your Admissions Policy? How do I apply for admission? What are the requirements to apply? Do I need to send recommendation letters? Do I need to write an essay? Do I have to sit for an interview? Do I need to audition?

A1). The application process is really quite simple and there is no need to write essays and the like - if you are applying for the Bachelors or Doctor of Science in Holistic Medicine then there is an Evaluation process that you need to go through which again is simple. The student simply emails us their scanned diplomas, degrees and C.V. See Admissions for further details of how this works. Students taking stand-alone courses do not need to go through an evaluation process and can simply pay for their course online and begin immediately.

Q2). Can I apply online?

A2). Yes, you can apply, register and pay online using our secure servers via PayPal or WorldPay. To begin applying online, click on the "Create An Account" link at the top right of the index page.

Q3). How much does it cost to complete the Bachelor of Science in Holistic Medicine - BSc (HM) programme?

A3). There are 15 modular courses to complete plus a dissertation and clinical practicuum in about a 3-year period. This works out at about 4,000 euros per year, or about 1,500 euros per semester (4-months). So the total cost over three years comes to about €12,000 EUROS complete - all the books and course materials are included in this price.

This is obviously spread out over the 2-3 years that it requires to complete the BSc (HM), and is on a pay-as-you-go basis. There are also installment plans to help you pay less over time. If you have already covered various courses in your previous education, then these will be exempted and the cost and time for completion will fall.

Please note that most BSc online courses in various topics range between 15,000 euros per year or more, making a total of 45,000 euros to complete a 3-year undergraduate degree, So the total of 12,000 euros over three years (about 4,000 euros per year) is considered reasonable for this calibre of education in Holistic Medicine.

RBCs.gifQ4). What is the cost to complete the Doctor of Science in Holistic Medicine - DSc (HM) programme?

A4). Once you have completed the Bachelor of Science in Holistic Medicine, there are 3 more modules to complete for the Doctoral programme, plus a dissertation. This would add approximately another €3,000 EUROS to be paid in increments over the year that would be required to complete these courses and dissertation.

You can find the currency exchange rates at www.xe.com

Q5). How do these costs compare with other online universities and colleges?

A5). As I have already mentioned above, if you check it out yourselves, you will see that many undergraduate degree courses are charging about €15,000 EUROS or more per year, which makes a 3-year BSc course worth about €45,000 EUROS in total. As you can see that this is nearly four times the cost of the BSc (HM) - the Doctoral courses online at other universities can run into €50,000 EUROS or more before completion, which again is about 4 times the cost. We believe that for the quality of the courses provided that our costs are extremely reasonable. We need to cover costs but not to grossly profit from the student - our major aim is to spread Holistic Medicine around the globe.

Q6). Do I have to pay all this amount immediately?

A6). No! You simply pay for the courses that you take each semester, in increments - its a "Pay-As-You-Go" type system.

There are installment plans available to students who wish to spread their costs even more and pay monthly installments.

Q7). Do you offer scholarships?

A7). We unfortunately do not have the resources to offer scholarships at the moment.

Asklepios_healer-275x207.jpgQ8). Once I have sent all my diplomas and certificates, how long will I know if I am accepted or not?

A8). Our staff try to process new applications quickly - we estimate that an answer should be on your desk within one week of receiving all your paperwork, accept during major holidays.

Q9). Are their specific dates that I need to apply?

A9). With online and distance learning courses you can begin whenever you like throughout the year, so there is no deadline for applications. Whenever you are ready, apply immediately.

Q10). Can I get transfer credit (exemptions) for subjects that I have studied at another college or university? Can I find out how many exemptions I will receive before I apply?

A10). Yes, it is possible to transfer credits from other colleges and universities, assuming that the course material matches that of the DaVinci College. You will find out before accepting to join, whether you have exemptions or not - this is why you must send us your diplomas, certificates, transcripts and C.V. for evaluation.

Q11). I have a 3-year bachelor's degree from my country. Can I get admission to your Graduate School? Can I finish my bachelor's or doctorate degree at the DaVinci College of Holistic Medicine?

eosinophils.jpgA11). Yes, all this is evaluated during the Student Evaluation process and a Student Evaluation Report is returned to each student outlining the specific courses that are required to be taken, as well as those that you may be exempt from. This process applies to both the Bachelors and Doctoral level. We have many students from different countries with various degrees that can be transferred for credits at the Da Vinci College.

Q12). Will I be required to come to the Da Vinci Holistic Health Centre in Cyprus for the clinical practicuum? How long will this take?

A12). This is probably the ideal as the DaVinci Holistic Health Centre in Larnaca, Cyprus is a dedicated Holistic Medicine centre that implements everything that you are learning about and more. This is really "the place" to get some real "hands-on" training with real patients in a clinical setting. However, if there is a Holistic Centre nearer the students home that we can assess and approve of, then it would certainly be possible to do your clinical practiccum nearer home. The clinical practicuum lasts a total of two full weeks, which can be split in two if the student prefers.

Q13). Where can I stay if I come over to Cyprus, and what are the overall costs?

A13). There are many hotels in the area within a 10-15 minute drive from the DaVinci Centre which is about 5 miles west of Larnaca centre on the way to Nicosia - the costs of these vary and you can see some of these costs HERE. The cost of the clinical practicuum is €899 EUROS for the two-week visit, but this will include the full IDEL Diagnostic Programme for yourself which is normally charged to patients at €1,500 EUROS and consists of many different diagnostic tests. On the one hand this is important for you to learn, but on the other hand it is also crucial that you optimize your own health. Practitioners must be healthier than their clients if they are not to exchange pathological energies between themselves, to the detriment of both!

Strong-Genetic.jpgQ14). What is involved regarding the dissertation for both the Bachelors and Doctoral programme?

A14). This will be discussed nearer the time and guidance will be given on how to write up the dissertation given certain guidelines. Generally the Bachelors dissertaion runs into about 100 pages or so, while the Doctoral dissertation may run into 200 pages or so. The research is based on an empirical or experimental basis and will include some statistical analysis of the data. More on this as time goes on!
