Bachelor of Science in Holistic Medicine - BSc (HM)
The Bachelor of Science in Holistic Medicine is a unique series of courses that are rarely found in schools and colleges of Complementary and Alternative Medicine (CAM) or Natural Medicine.
Most colleges and schools offering CAM courses will do so in one field or modality; i.e. you will get a course in homeopathy, or one in herbal medicine, or in naturopathy or acupuncture or flower remedies and so on. When qualifying from these schools you will be an expert in only one modality of healing, but you will not have a broad base that encompasses many of these modalities combined. This is the main advantage of the DaVinci College of Holistic Medicine - it provides the practitioner or student with many different tools and protocols to use in clinical practice that go far beyond any one modality.

The Bachelor of Science in Holistic Medicine consists of many separate modular courses covering a whole spectrum of health topics - each of these modular courses is a stand-alone and can be taken as an individual Diploma Course with Certification. This encourages the student to implement this knowledge-base in clinical practice as soon as they have completed each Diploma course, as they will have the Certification to prove that they have passed these exams for the said course.
The modular course structure based on distance-learning allows the student to work at their own pace while working elsewhere without having to disrupt family or working life. The student can even work while they are traveling as most of the course materials are in downloadable files that can be stored on the hard disc of the computer. There are hundreds of pages of reading material with each course.
There are also many interactive videos and documentaries to watch and you can even copy these directly to your laptop and watch them while on a plane. There are also hundreds of links to many other sources of helpful information - these courses have taken many years to write and develop and are at a cutting-edge level that is difficult to match. The courses should ideally be taken in sequential order to benefit from prerequisite knowledge required to build on. The College and its courses have been accredited by the World Organization of Natural Medicine Practitioners (WONMP) in the USA, the International Association for Distance Learning (IADL) in the UK and the Complementary Medicine Association (CMA) in the UK.

It is very rare to find a College that takes all these modalities and more and puts them into a Bachelor of Science in Holistic Medicine course - this is the essence of this course - you will not only be studying homeopathy or herbal medicine or naturopathy, but in fact you will study enough of each to be able to practice as a competent Holistic Health practitioner, dealing with many health issues that using only one healing modality will not be able to help.
This is made possible because the Founder and Academic Dean of the DaVinci College of Holistic Medicine, Dr. George J Georgiou has been studying natural methods of health for over 25 years and has amassed degrees and diplomas in the biological sciences, clinical nutrition, herbal medicine, homeopathy, naturopathy, Su Jok acupuncture, energy medicine, iridology, sclerology, live blood analysis, thermography, clinical psychology and clinical sexology, along with a lot more training in other modalities of healing, as well as many research interests and publications.
Not only did he spend a life-time studying all these topics in depth, but he has applied this knowledge by building a bespoke Holistic treatment centre called the DaVinci Natural Health Centre in Cyprus that uses all these modalities and more and sees patients from all over the world, specializing in the treatment of chronic disease. Students taking the Professional Diploma in Holistic Medicine will be able to spend time undertaking clinical work at this cutting-edge Holistic Centre as part of their requirements.
To gain maximal benefit from your studies, it is recommended that the student plan to take at least two, but preferably three courses per semester (4 chronological months). There are a total of 16 Diploma courses so the average student should be able to complete all sixteen compulsory courses to be awarded the Bachelor of Science in Holistic Medicine in just over 24 months. A maximum of 48 months is allowed for completion for students with heavy work commitments.
Medical students usually study for just about 4,200 physical hours in the entirety of their course - most of the academic study is crammed into the first two years - they also have practical work on top of this. The Bachelor of Science in Holistic Medicine covers 15 courses plus dissertation which comes to a total of 3,200 hours (16 x 200 hours - 3,200). This means that 200 hours per course is equivalent to a solid month of study, eight hours per day.
If a student decides to go on to complete the Doctor of Science in Holistic Medicine, there will be a further three courses to complete (3 x 200 hours = 600 hours), along with the dissertation (400 hours), making a further 1,000 hours. This is added to the 3,200 hours of the BSc (HM) making a total of 4,200 hours. This is equivalent to just over 500 days of solid work - a lot can be learned in this time!
Bachelor of Science in Holistic Medicine students will have an opportunity to study with Dr. Georgiou at the DaVinci Natural Health Centre and will be able to get hands-on training in all aspects of the holistic healing arts. This will be the students opportunity to see the application of everything they have learned on real patients with real diseases.
There is also the flexibility of studying in other Holistic Centres closer to home, but these must be assessed by the College before being certified to accept students.
In order to complete the Bachelor of Science in Holistic Medicine there is a dissertation based on empirical work that needs to be completed by the end of the course. This will be a good introduction to research methodology, basic statistics and designing quality research, even though this will be on a small scale.
The Bachelor of Science in Holistic Medicine is presently being expanded to include the Doctor of Sciences in Holistic Medicine (DSc HM) for the student that wants to proceed further to a higher award. Credits from the Bachelor of Science in Holistic Medicine will be automatically transferrable towards this higher degree.

Orthomolecular Clinical Nutrition(OCN303)
This course takes the practitioner beyond the theory of orthomolecular nutrition (ON103) and takes the practitioner into the clinical role of nutrition and how it can be used in the clinical setting to help treat a variety of illnesses from headaches, migraines and digestive issues, to Candida and even cancer. Many of these protocols have been tried and tested in a clinical setting and are known to successfully work - just taking these 'clinical secrets' based on decades of work is worth its weight in gold!
Naturopathic Medicine (NM401)
Part 1 - this course lays down the theory of Naturopathy and examines its history and its significance in the world of healing. The student will learn in detail naturopathic protocols for detoxifying different organ systems, the use of herbs, homeopathics, nutritional supplements and other healing modalities as well as treating specific disease processes.
Part 2 - this course will take the student much deeper into using naturopathy in the treatment of specific diseases, but will emphasize protocols related to treating diseases such as MS, Cancer, autism, schizophrenia, depression, Crohn's Disease, ulcerative colitis and those health issues that the medical profession generally considers as 'incurable.' Protocols for all these diseases that have worked successfully for many years will be shared with the student making this an invaluable clinical gem!
This course takes the student into 21st century medicine by examining its history and some of the therapeutic devices that have been developed over the decades, some of which had powerful healing qualitites. Devices such as the BICOM bioresonance device, VEGA biodermal screening device, PAPIMI, Rife Technology, Beck, and other technologies will be examined in detail to provide the student with enough knowledge to be able to use these devices in clinical practice. The author has had many years of clinical experience with these devices.
Autonomic Nervous System Clinical Testing is a fascinating way of communicating with your patient’s autonomic nervous system to elicit health information quickly and efficiently - this course will cover VEGA Testing, Autonomic Response Testing (ART), Heart Rate Variability Testing (HRV) and Thermography. Mastering these important techniques will help in accurate diagnoses and designing bespoke treatment programmes for the patient.
Holistic Psychology (HP502)
This course does not only incorporate the basics of psychology, but also goes much further and looks at practical ways in which the practitioner can help the client on a psychoemotional level. Topics that will be examined in depth include Emotional Freedom Technique (EFT), Psychokinesiology, Hellinger's Family Constellations, Bach Flower Remedies, Homeopathy, Su Jok Therapy, Iris Light Therapy, Sound Therapy and more.
Toxicology & Detoxification (TD503)
Students of Holistic Medicine cannot become good practitioners unless they learn the meaning of toxins and their effect on health, as well as the various natural procedures for mobilizing and eliminating these from the body. Tried and tested protocols will be shared with the student based on many decades of detoxification with thousands of clients in clinical settings - many of these protocols are unique and have never before been published. This course is a must for all practitioners and can be taken as a stand-alone Diploma Course.
Often sexual issues come up with clients and the Holistic practitioner should be in a position to handle the most basic of these such as erectile problems, premature ejaculation, sexual desire disorders in both sexes, vaginismus and orgasmic dysfunction. This course is truly unique and never before taught as the author Dr. Georgiou has coined the term 'Naturopathic Sexology' as a unique science. As a practicing Clinical Sexologist, Clinical Psychologist and a Doctor of Science in Alternative Medicine he combines these modalities to provide a powerful tool in the diagnosis and treatment of sexual dysfunctions using a Holistic Approach.
Biological Terrain Analysis (BTA602) This course will teach all that is required to interpret the results from blood, urine and saliva using pH, resistivity and redox measures. This clinical tool is crucial for the identification of nutritional and metabolic imbalances and the etiology of disease. Through the precise monitoring of the body's Biological Terrain through assessing urine, saliva and blood, valuable information may be obtained that may help individuals address underlying imbalances that may be contributing to cellular stress and lack of vitality. With this valuable information, proper nutrition, stress management and detoxification of specific toxins and poisons may be implemented. These measures, in turn, may help re-establish and support healthy cellular functioning. Sclerology (SC603) This is a course that takes Iridology further into the study and interpretation of the sclera (the white of the eyes) and how this is translated into the related pathology of the patient. Sclerology is the study of the red lines in the white of the eyes and how they relate to stress-patterns in a person's health. Once you learn to interpret these lines, you will hold the key to understanding how the body is struggling or adapting to maintain balance; and thus know how to apply natural therapies to prevent problems from occurring or help the body correct problems already occurring. What is a person's predisposition to disease? What is the hidden cause of symptoms that can point the way to cure? What will your health challenges be five years from now? Information regarding these insights is portrayed NOW in the sclera - the red veins in the white of the eyes. All you need is the key to unlocking their reflexive message! The course containsinstructional videotapes along with substantial reading material. Hair Tissue Mineral Analysis (HTMA604) This is a very clinically relevant tool that will allow the proactitioner to correctly analyse and interpret hair samples from their patients to determine mineral levels and deficiencies, heavy metal status, how to implement natural heavy metal chelation programmes and monitor their progress using HTMA, how to understand the ratios between elements and their significance to health. This is really a critically important course for the Holistic practitioner who wants to use orthomolecular nutrition optimally to help their patients.
